As of Feb 2012 one in five young people in the UK are not in employment, education or training and a quarter of a million have been unemployed for more than one year (click here to read more).

 
Chocolution Enterprise Project is designed to give young people aged 16 to 24 an experience of running their own business and increase people’s access to high-quality, handmade chocolate.

Chocolate is a great marketplace for young people to get involved in. The Chocolate Market in the UK is valued at over £4bn per year, most of this money is spent on chocolate which is low in cocoa solids, high in refined sugar and highly processed, therefore not very nutritious.

Young people will be mentored through the stages of setting up and running a micro-chocolate business. Their training will include learning the skills to become self-employed as well as making and marketing raw chocolate to local customers within their own communities.
