“Willie Wonka comes to Deal!”

Deal’s own local community chocolatier the ‘Chocolution’, well us…are launching a limited edition chocolate bar very soon with one ‘Willie Wonka’ style Golden Ticket hidden amongst the limited first edition.

The ‘Golden Ticket’ for the lucky chocoholic will get free entry into the fabulous Smugglers Festival which is happening over the weekend of 31st August to 2nd September.

Kieran Renihan, Chocolution’s Founder said:

“The Chocolution Real Rum & Raisin bar is made with 70% Equadorian Cacao. It is hand-made here in Deal, from organic cacao direct from the producer and sold directly or through independent shops on our high street.

Raw chocolate is very, very different to the processed kind. For a start it’s good for you! First, it does not have all the harmful refined sugar, dairy, hydrogenated fats and other additives that its’ commercialised relatives contain. Second, because of the way it is made, it retains more of the natural minerals and flavanols from the plant. These have been shown to positively improve heart and circulatory health. Thirdly, it tastes fantastic! “

The festival, in its second year, takes place near Deal and features many great performers including: Nuru Kane, Zoo For You and local favourites, Cocos Lovers.

Chocolate fondants are all about the ooze factor from the middle, 1 or 2 minutes too long in the oven and they can be stodgy puddings but when cooked right, oh are they delish! So we’ve taken the chocolate fondant and made it with raw chocolate YUM! Make sure you do the prep as stated and the chocolate bombs of molten mouth-watering goodness will be waiting for you at the end. For the raw chocolate, I used our chocolaty delicious Nacional Arriba de Fina Cocoa solids and butter from our Mayan Magic Raw Chocolate Making Kit but you could also use any good quality dark chocolate if preferred. It may look like a complex restaurant raw chocolate recipe but it’s very easy to prepare, assemble and serve. You can use limes, oranges or lemons for the syrup instead of the satsumas and you can always swap the physalis for strawberries, cherries or another handy chocolate dipping fruit.
